Biography

Sumeyra Gurkok is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biology, Atatürk University, Turkey. She earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Biotechnology at Middle East Technical University, Turkey, completing her doctoral studies between 2003 and 2012. With a robust academic background, Sumeyra has become a distinguished figure in the field of Biology and Biotechnology. Throughout her career, Dr. Sumeyra has made significant contributions to the scientific community through her extensive research publications. Her expertise spans various areas, including Microbial-Industrial Biotechnology, Fungal Biology and Genetics, Bacteriology, Enzyme Production, Purification, and Characterization, as well as Industrial Enzymes such as Alpha-Galactosidase, Lipases, Proteases, and Cellulase.
