Biography

Juan C Zapata is an experienced scientist with over 30 years of expertise in microbiology, virology, immunology, and vaccine and drug development, spanning both academic and industry settings. As a senior scientist at Viriom Inc. in the R&D division, he lead the design, development, and validation of in vitro and in vivo models to evaluate the efficacy of small-molecule compounds targeting cancer, inflammation, metabolic disorders, and viral infections such as SARS-CoV-2 and influenza.
